Heyla!
I don't usually do this -- I lurk around and pop up to post when there's something I might be able to contribute to. But when I found myself visiting this site pretty regularly, I decided I might as well post an intro post.

And it's not even just a
link to my profile, though trust me, I was tempted.

My name's jenn. I arrived in Sydney around two-three months ago. When uni session begins, I'll be a first year doing B.Pharmacy at USyd. For the moment, I'm still a bummer-arounder.
When it comes to anime and manga, I find myself collecting more often than actually reading/watching. Anime - I feel that watching by myself gets rather boring, but I don't have anyone to watch with. In any case, I enjoy stuff with bishounen.

Particularly liked Ouran High School Host Club, Howl's Moving Castle, Last Exile, and X 1999.
When it comes to manga, because I translate (alas, Chinese->English) for two yaoi scanlation groups when I have time, (and also because I have interest in the topic

) I think about 80% of my collection is yaoi. The rest would probably be shoujo, I suppose. I like Ogawa Yayoi's, CJ Michalski's, Hisaya Nakajo's, and Watase Yuu's pieces. And probably quite a few others...as long as it's pretty art, I'm on it.

[That's how I actually watched through the whole of Trinity Blood - because Abel-kun was so cute.

And because Eguchi Takahito's soundtrack was very good.]
Aside from translating for MFY and Obsession when I'm free, lately I've been translating+editing
Gakuen Alice chapters.
My interests aside from anime/manga consist of reading (mostly scifi/fantasy, with interest in music, magic, original, and sensual themes), writing (
strange stuff), and playing the piano (I really hope there's a piano in USyd I can occasionally play on. A keyboard is really no substitute). To prove I'm not absolutely a mouse potato, I can rollerblade or play squash (not very well, but at least I could hit it off the wall a few times) too. Though I haven't been doing the latter for a while.

Another project of mine (but this one never quite took off like the transediting did) -- is a playbyforum, writing-intensive RPG called Chois:2R2M -- which describes a post-modern world involving two groups who can use magic linked to the aspects of Rhythm, Rhyme, Movement and Melody.
So..ah..yup, I think that's all I have to say for now. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu! Ah, and feel free to add me to msn if you want. (jennkei at gmail dot com) I'm on quite a lot, and I'm always interested in chatting if you're, uh, interesting.
