This is a topic for members of AnimeMQ to talk about the Thursday screening of Code Geass if they want. Smiley

Since the series is complete, I thought it might be nice to have a place to talk about the series at the pace that we're watching. If you want to jump a head in the series please put everything under a spoiler tag - that is [ spoiler ][ /spoiler ] (without the spaces.)

Looks like this:
Spoiler (hover to show)

AnimeMQ mods will edit your post to place spoilers under cuts and issue warnings.

Currently AnimeMQ screenings are up to episode 4 as of Tuesday 14th March.

If everyone was an individual, wouldn't they all be conformists, conforming to individuality?

I am certainly seeing the Deathnote comparisons.

Am I alone in thinking that Lelouch does not have the face of a good guy? D:

Definitely an exciting series to watch and I am looking forward to seeing more!

You know... based on series like R.O.D (the t.v series at least) and this... Japan... must have .... a very interesting view of the British. Wink

They sure do.... (is reminded of bakumatsu kikansetsu irohaniheto)

By the way, the series isn't complete: it's 25 eps (with possible second season planned) and episode 20 just aired.

Without saying any spoilers, it's one of my favourite series at the moment but they keep inserting filler eps. But the filler eps are numbered 8.5, 17.5, 21.5 and therefore not really part of the series or episode count, and its fun hearing Lelouch's voiceover for those.. btw, are we screening the fillers?

Well we have subs for up to episode 17, so I think we should be safe for this semester.... at least.

Mmm... I think that would depend on whether we actually have those or not... Ask Budon ? ^_^;;

Perhaps hold them off for a marathon? We could probably show 8.5 during the recess if we were able to book a room then....

Just it's usually the last couple of episodes need to be shown in a marathon, so even if we don't have the episodes now, we would probably at least show them later on.

I know it currently says episode 2, but we've watched up to episode 4 so I didn't put in any spoiler tags. if you haven't watched eps 3-4 then only read if you like spoilers.

Lelouch so shouldn't have bothered saving that guy whose name I can't remember (Suzuka?). I mean he used his freaky evil eye thing on that evil dude who's head of the evil British army and he'll never ever be able to do it again. That guy's like the head honcho. You'd wanna save using your super evil eye thing on him for when it's really important. The guy wasn't even grateful. It's not even as if he was guilty or anything. He could've at least gone "Wow, thanks man. I'm sure it must've taken a lot of effort to get that huge gas spraying thing and your super awesome Darkwing duck costume and totally hypnotize like a million people and get all those terrorist dudes to obey you and stuff, but like... I kinda really want to get executed. So bye!"

And who expected Lelouch to kill the prince? Not me. I hope he comes back as a cyborg or a zombie or something. That'd be awesome.

I was expecting it because it's already been established that lelouch is thinking of this as a game, and not of the casualties.

... He is creeping me out with the similarities to Raito/Light.

In a way he did save him though. Smiley I think it makes Lelouch more human - he was so desperate to have Suzuka on his side... But Suzuka just thinks of him... As being an evil flimsy darkwing duck. XD

Lelouch is using his powers a little too easily at this point, I'm sure it will bite him later on in the series.
