Whilst I'm not particularly involved with UNSW, I would assume that they would for the very reason that new people, like yourself, are joining and it's a good way to introduce new people to each other / get to know each other.

That and they probably want to do more drawing sessions for the actual sake of drawing Wink

No no, don't ask now >_< the details aren't finalised yet....
Damn you George!

Actually seriously speaking, I've been really busy with my job so I haven't focused on this thing as much as I'd like to, but I can tell you that we'll be aiming for 2 art sessions a week. (Either Wednesday, Thursday or Fridays, the club doesn't pay me enough for me to quit my job to host the sessions on Monday and Tuesday....oh that's right, they don't pay me at all! :|)
One that involves lessons and such and the other one a more social atmosphere where we just hang, some of us draw, some of us talk about drawing, the rest have fun.
If you ask me, I prefer the latter mainly because I don't have to do any work.
We'll be getting in qualified instructors as well, all of them professionals in the industry.

Ah...what else. Oh yeah we'll also be offering art packages with various materials that would cost you an arm and a leg if you bought them online but they'll be really cheap through us.
Mainly specialised inking pens and 'manga' paper all made by deleter.

So yes, we will be having art sessions this year and yes, you will learn how to draw real people.

Peeked through this thread a while ago and I failed to see when these art sessions are on in recent times. Is it a Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday?

Art sessions are still being worked out for exec time availabilities.
It'll now most likely be on Thursday and Friday starting week 4.
I'd have started hosting them in week 3 but uncle Sid will be in Melbourne.
Members will get an email on that soon (the art sessions that is, not my melbourne trip -_-)

Hehe, look forward to the sessions, I'll probably show for them if I'm not in class.

Oh oh oh, and as a bonus, I'll even show off my non-existent art skills. I drew this AWESOME picture of Heero in property. (at least the girl sitting next to me could tell it was Heero...after she threatened to break all my fingers and "omae o korosu'd" me a la Heero) Oh oh, I also drew this completely whacked up Mana. He was chubby.

On second thought...maybe I'll keep my scrawls to myself *cough cough* my dignity doesn't need to fall lower than the 7th level of hell.
