AnimeSydney is now running on Simple Machines Forum script.
For the last five years these boards (previously the SUAnime BBS 2002-2005) ran under phpBB2, after a while it started showing its age.
So at the beginning of this month it was time to change things around. Now we're running on SMF. Smiley

hmm it seems a lot of people are making a move to SMF now... it doesnt really matter to me =P i guess smf looks shinier in a way =D

Yeah, you're right it is happening quite a bit, there's a lot of good reasons for it.
SMF has a lot of nice design changes. It's a lot nicer to work with than phpBB and quite a bit more powerful. Hopefully it's still as easy to manage long after I'm done being admin. Smiley
