Welcome to the forums. You've chosen a fairly poor time to join, since most people are doing exams, or on holidays (These boards are based on Uni societies, though anyone is welcome).
You can probably get a good idea on what you'll want in the store by reading the Anime and Manga forum section, just look for what people are saying they like. The only risk is that people already have it. Since the trading forum is people saying what they have on offer, rather than what they want, that will be useless to you. Unless the store sells 2nd hand and you think you can sell something there for more than you'd buy it from here.

Hello Sun Tzu, welcome to animesydney!
Where abouts is the store you work for?
I've got a friend who has a similar job, he finds talking to people who come in to his store often helps him get a feel for what anime people want to see. What's popular and all that.
Enjoy your time here on the boards.
