Does anyone know any good anime/manga/hobby shop in Sydney? Like the one that sells figures, model kits, keychains, phonestraps, etc.. *Especially Bandai's latest line of Saint Seiya figures 'Saint Seiya Myth Cloth'.. lol*

Since I've just started my first semester here in Sydney and being new and all..

Thanks in advance! Really appreciate your help  Cheesy

Astro Hobby sells Saint Cloth Myth and model kits and crap like that.

But really, buying them online is much cheaper. A Libra Douko went for $100+ when online including shipping is less than that.

Modeller's World (if they are still around) at Haymarket has all your needs regarding figurines, models and accessories for your needs.

However, if you wanted something fun (and knowing you'll be sacrificing all your monies on it), head over to Capital Square where they have gashopons and if you try your luck, a plushie or two (or more in my case XD ) from the UFO catchers. Need more Gloomy bears....

Donny, darling. Even if Drew was on this side of the camp, what makes you think he would go out with an old hag like you?

HLJ: http://www.hlj.com/

Make sure to buy in bulk though, because shipping from Japan can be expensive if you buy things one at a time. Cost according to weight scales with increasing weight, so you're essentially only paying a few dollars for shipping per item if you get a whole bunch at once.

shipping from Japan can be expensive if you buy things one at a time.

Not really, a medium-sized medium-weighted item (say, a 1/7 or 1/8 PVC) is usually somewhere in the vicinity of $10 via SAL.

You'll find that in most cases, even if you're buying a single item, you'll still be saving money. Even with the shipping from Japan and the currency conversion fee, it'll still be cheaper than local retail. Of course, ship in bulk whenever possible, but sometimes you don't really have a choice  Tongue

Yeah, buying from respected places online also ensures that your product is gonna be authentic.  Some of the places in Sydney seem pretty dodgy (not gonna name names)...

Nooo.. Almost all of the Myth Cloth in www.hlj.com are discontinued T-T
Should I search and buy from eBay? Cause I'm worried about the shipping process (it would really suck if the package, especially the content, to be damaged or even worse, broken or missing  Sad )
Thx for the replies guys!
