ANIME LIBRARY

Being an anime club, we happen to own anime. And since we happen to own anime, we decided to extend a generous hand to those who happen to not own as much anime. This is the purpose of the anime loaning library. However, this is a service provided only to Anime@UTS members.

If you wish to borrow from the anime library, you will require:
-Proof of membership (ie. membership card)
-Contact Details (mobile/home phone number, email address)
-A name

To request a series, you can either PM me (nobody[v]) or talk to the person running one of our many screenings, who will in turn pass the message to me.

Please note, loans are only for 1 week. Also note that, we only lend anime unlicenced in Australia. If you happen to see a title in the library that is licenced in Australia, it is only a figment of your imagination. If your friends happen to see it, they are also seeing the same delusions you are.

i was wondering what is Licensed and unlicensed animes?
and how do we know which anime is licensed or not?

Licenced = the right of distribution has been given to a non-Japanese company to distribute within a given region. We consider anime titles licenced in Australia when the rights to the anime have been bought by Madman or Tokyo Night Train.

Essentially, we do not offer anime licenced in Australia for loan. Hence, at the time of posting, the titles listed in the library have not been licenced in Australia and hence are available for loan. I will periodically update the list with new additions or removals, and will check if titles are licenced at time of request.

To paraphrase my good screening director here, if it's coming out on DVD in Australia, its licensed and you won't be able to borrow it.

It's against the law, what do you expect to happen? People have been sent to jail over illegal downloads.
Getting caught = simple, someone has your IP, monitors what files are sent through your computer and so on...

As this thread is about the Loans Library for UTS, I'm locking it as of now to prevent further deviation from original topic. Another exec will either unlock it or update the thread with anime that is being stored.
