In the mail out that's going to be in email in-boxes everywhere soon (like tonight sometime) there's a part about the Madman movie screenings that are happening this month.

The movies and details are:

Naruto The Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow
+ Special introduction by Liam O'Brien, screenwriter and voice of Gaara.
Dendy Newtown
Sunday 14th of October 7:00pm

Highlander: The Search for Vengance
Dendy Opera Quays
Sunday 21st of October 4:30pm

Is anyone interested in going? I want to see Highlander, it's directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri, the guy who directed Ninja Scroll.
If there's enough interest we could make it a club outing? Smiley

How fitting. There's ONLY ONE screening of each of these films. A complete and total one off. Never again!
Let's not miss this chance!!

I'd be up for Highlander too, if only to see how much it makes me go "wtf?" with the post-apocalyptic setting (I think it was anyway) and another random Macleod.
But hey, can't NEARLY be as bad as Highlander 2, right?

Yeah nothing could be as bad as that movie.
I hear the anime movie is pretty good though.

I wanna see Highlander. I watch anything Kawajiri makes because it's a guarantee that the action is gonna be super-special-awesome.

Now I have to pray I get a weird time for work so I can go  Sad

Pray harder pray monkey.
The action is definitely going to be awesome, because Kawajiri is in on it but also there's only one way to kill a Highlander.

I've only ever seen one Kawajiri film on a big screen... and that was Ninja Scroll chopped to bits during an Aphex Twin gig.

I take that back.  Oh Sean Connery, I'm so sorry I ever said that, please please forgive me

lol...

LOL

...in all fairness, the movie had its moments.  "Oooh, that'll hurt" XD

edit: lol actually I just read Futurhythm's quoted line again and realised that he said the action.  And again, in all fairness, the action wasn't bad.  Katana bullet deflection ftw! (while at the same time breaking physics...)
