How are computer games made?

Have you ever wanted to study the fine arts of making games during your Computing degree? Not had a chance to do COMP330 – Computer graphics?

MUCS would like to invite you to this special one day workshop to learn how games are made!!


Date: 13 October, 2007
Time: 10 – 3pm
Venue: Macquarie University, E6A114


A basic knowledge of programming is required (eg. first year level C++). All other software would be provided. You may like to bring a USB to save your awesome creation!

Presenter: Iwan Kartiko
Iwan Kartiko is a PhD candidate at the MU Department of Computing, He worked as research fellow from 2005-2007 and involved in many projects;  digital content creation for games and virtual reality applications. Iwan also assists Dr. Manolya Kavakli in preparing tutorial materials for the Comp330 (Computer Graphics) subject for 3rd year students. He graduated from University of New South Wales in 2001 with a degree in Mechatronics Engineering. Iwan is also working as freelancer illustrator for an international company.

I highly recommend this Workshop and COMP 330 as well if you can do it next year. Iwan really knows his stuff and it's not all the time that you get this chance.

Shame however with the Supernova though.
