I was surprised to see two sword (fake or real or whatever) stores at Paddy's markets, Market City. They looked pretty interesting, but didn't really have the exact colour I wanted so I didn't buy. Plus was a tad pricy. (Ranges from 20+ to 80+) Quite a few kinds, I don't know my swords at all so I can't really say, but there were wooden ones and (pseudo?) metal ones. Probably just ornamental, of course, but still.

If you're joining those competitions, don't you need to make everything by yourself?

come round weekends, walk around the paddy's market below and you will find at least 6 more shops and there are plenty more that sells them around the city if you know your way around. they are all ornamental pieces and yes they are rather costly, some are poor workmanship too but its easy to distinguish good and bad ones if you give it a short thought after careful observations. nonetheless some are quite well crafted and even well balanced.

and i do not think they expect you to smelt,forge and tamper your own katana even in that international cosplay comp, thats asking too much. tho if you want you could try in which i would say
