Linking to any downloads of torrents is not allowed.

Discussion of the show is fine, but do not discuss how to acquire it.

I can't imagine much of a decent show being made out of it to be honest.

Theres alot of fan fiction for maplestory.....but they lack a decent plot....I doubt the anime made based on maple be anymore amazing then any of the fan fiction stories......unless the creater is an absolute genius....

Alot of the anime that are made based on a game fail to include plot where it is not too predictable.

Examples include some anime based on a dating sim (eg. To Heart 2, Shuffle!, Gift~Etermal Rainbow~)

Indeed, RO anime wasn't something you'd watch unless you were already a fan of the game. And even then, it still wasn't very good.

They should make an anime about grinding, farming and emo tanks.

omg grinding... i'd kill myself if i had to go through that again, like i did in ms so many times zzzz

yeh me and my cousin shared a DK account to lvl 106 b4 it got hacked lol... i grinded a lvl 76 crusader and it got boring.... then my cousin made a lvl 116 bandit and he quit lol.... what a wasted time of effort that was lol...

and now i've got a lvl 51 crossbowman... i don't seem to learn from my past about grinding and how painful it is xD

but if i see an anime about, i won't stop laughing about it lol

Exactly, I liked the look of RO's sprites, and I really tried to enjoy the RO anime. I did. After two episodes I couldn't take it any more and stopped.

Now that you mention it, the thing that first got me into RO was the cute sprites (both players and monsters). And from there it was a downward spiral into addiction.

I didn't have a problem with the character designs in the RO anime so much, it's just the characters themselves were incredibly annoying. And the plot was pretty weak, but that's somewhat understandable when you consider the fact that RO didn't exactly have any overarching plotlines in the game itself.

I reckon it was the sprites that got most people playing the game at first. I started about a month and a bit before IRO was about to end the public beta. After that I played for a month when IRO went pay and played for a while when ORO was free... Haven't gone back since. Good thing too. It ate lots of time.

The art in the anime wasn't special but it wasn't completely bleh either. You're right though the characters made the show hard to watch. It isn't exactly easy to do a plot conversion when there is none, but what I saw of the plot made me think they could have made up a better one. :/
