Hehe - i leeched a good 80gb of anime at SGL today but that aside! i feel obliged to note my feelings towards the aforementioned anime. *nods with an undeserved air of wisdom* Spice and Wolf!!! Meant to be quite good - a break from conventional themes basing the anime on trade *hopes for sudo subs* Club to Death Angel Dokuro-chan (Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan) is pretty average... but the OP is great. Pipiru piru piru pipiru pi!!!~~ Its rly just a bunch of poor fanservice, and varied excuses to kill the lead character. Nodame Cantible is meant to be good... received a lot of accalade (sp?) on anime-reactor forums. people who havent like classical music have also commented on it as being good Moyashimon looks interesting... although i cant say ive heard anything about it prior to its mention here Doki Doki; Mika Suzuki is a teacher at Okitsu High School, but it's hard for anyone to take her seriously when she stands under five feet and looks younger than most of her students. Making her job even more difficult is the fact that her students aren't quite normal: a cross-dressing bishounen, a wannabe manga-ka, and a well-developed girl with a fetish for small women (including Mika, of course) are just some of the misfits in Mika-sensei's class sounds like the formula for win to me! small women fetishes ftw ;P and gundam is.... well gundam... so

UPDATE!
Ok, here's the list of anime we screened in the order they were shown.
1. Gundam Igloo 2. Spice and Wolf 3. Moyashimon 4. Romeo x Juliet
(Dinner trip to Maccas)
5. Gundam 00 6. Sensei Ojikan 7. Bamboo blade 8. Nodame Cantabile
----
According to our Membership director, here is what people have voted for on the day (via a really rough count).
- Dokuro-chan season 2 - unanimous - Spice and Wolf - unanimous - Bamboo Blade - 8 votes - Romeo x Juliet - 6 votes - Sensei Ojikan - 5 votes - Moyashimon - 4 votes - Nodame Cantabile - 4 votes - Gundam 00 - 0 votes - Gundam Igloo - 0 votes
Also, Dokuro-chan is a 2 episode OVA, so they (whoever they are, I have no idea) decided to ignore it from the list of to-show 'series'. I'm guessing they'll probably show it as a special or something.
And another note. This is just the 'Preliminary Screening' list we had for the 1st week to find out what type of anime people are interested in. Therefore, the screening list is not finalised, and shall not be finalised until I get in contact with our official Screening director. (In case you are wondering, no, none of the execs present on Friday was the Screening director, hence why our 1st screening was so messy and unorganised. My apologies.)
So~! What does that mean? Well, for those who missed the 1st (unofficial) preliminary screening, don't worry. Everything shall make sense from this week (11/4/08) onwards, as it'll be our 1st official screening. So don't miss out and come!
Hope that answers some of your questions. =]

Actually, I'm pretty sure Moyashimon was screened just when I got back from Maccas. Which makes it just before psycho angel thing. And I'm pretty sure RxJ was like, 3rd or something. But that was how the Membership director gave it to me, so I hold no responsibility. Ps: Peoplez, reply to the Art thread please. Help wanted!

gundam igloo (the 3d gundam thing) i am surprised nobody liked it, aside the 3d cg rubbish. spice and wolf is a fantasy anime based on trade, i loved the series but no a naked wolf girl does not appear every episode so it is not what you think. Moyashimon its about bacterias and a guy who can see bacterias. Romeo x Juliet an anime adaptation of Shakespeare. i personally believe Shakespeare works should remain unaltered. but i am simply very archaic. gundam 00 is the 2d gundam. i am having the feeling i showed this but walked out on it. i simply missed the original gundam and felt it is still the best. sensei ojikan the one with the 4 feet tall teacher. ie. she is just very short. bamboo blade the one that the snob guy got pwned by a girl. nodame cantabile the music one.
there are actually heaps of stuff mike told me to show but i simply cannot show them all. and yes i got moyashimon the wrong way round now that you mention it. i screened it after sensei ojikan.
there is also yakitate japan if anyone wants to watch it but be warned it is 64 eps long.

can we watch Seirei no Moribito!?!? i was just about to start watching it, but maybe it would be more epic to watch with others? apparantly meant to be a BRILLIANT fantasy series. i could bring it in if necessary... and it was only completed recently so i doubt many people have seen it??? (what about Sumomomo Momomo?? it was a good watch n i'd be happy to re-watch it ^_^)
i mean... i have a crapload of stuff i havent watched still on my HDD if someone were interested in it. i could like bring it to uni on my iPod n put it on the computer. ...unless of course u only use DVDs or something more... shall we say... Lee-gal.
and i didnt realise there was a second series of dokuro-chan. i may have to look into it. but if we do watch that one, we better be watching a DVD-rip... coz the TV airings were heavily censored *nods*

Erm.... Due to popular demand....! The cakes at the bake sale have sold out in less than a minute~! =D
.... Is what I wanted to say, but truth is, I just called up one of the organisers now to confirm the whereabouts (since I couldn't find it after wandering around the QUAD for 10 mins), but it ended up that no one volunteered to help out, so all they had to sell were a plate of bikkies. =(
So sorry, guys, looks like the bake sale is off.
Hence the next event shall be Art Sessions on the 9th of April, followed by the Paprika screening and Art Session dinner.
Hope to see you guys soon! =D

Aww, I was looking for it too. Good to know I'm not just hopeless eh?
Mmm, the only one I've seen of those is Gundam 00 (I finished the series last week). I actually found it really enjoyable, though frustrating.
