Fate/Stay Night doesn't have much to do with it at all. The only thing that would be relevant is the bounded fields (which would probably be explained/integrated seamlessly into the movie).
If you played Melty Blood or Tsukihime, you might get a better understanding of what the protagonist's power is but that's about it.

Animation is definitely top-notch. I'll be looking out for the next episode, sounds more interesting. Maybe it's just me, but I've never been enamoured of the kinda setting.

yeh i get wat u mean... the setting is just quite fasinating... meh.... the anime is cool... full stop People die if they are killed. But really, roof-top suicide isn't as impressive anymore. Especially after seeing someone hate themselves so much, they decide to make a contract with the world and become a heroic spirit, then get summoned backward through time (figuratively speaking, as the Throne of Heroes is seperated from time) with the express purpose of killing oneself.

To create a time paradox that might ruin the universe?
Incredible.

Why does this sound like Fate/Stay to me, and I haven't even watched/read that? DESU: Get crackin' on Kara no Kaikai!

Menclave is for archiving, GG for on the day release.
But yeah, buy the DVDs for archiving. It's good. Movie 2 is good. Movie 3 will be good. Movie 7 will be epic and Movie 6 might be as epic as 7.

The art is brilliant, but... I dunno the story of the first one doesn't sound as great as the 2nd one.
For some odd reason teh second one reminds me of Tsukihime O.o
