Has anyone also considered that most of the time things are mistranslated mainly because of lack-in-frames-and-movement, and translators finding it hard to fit the exact translation?
Japanese people make the anime to fit Japanese phrases, and in doing so they don't multi-task by considering the other languages it might be dubbed in.
Hence, the translation is bound to be lost partly anyways. *shrugs*
Like, phrases which are the best translated are the ones which have huge non-character frames which just purely show background or action. See, whilst in Japanese this scene would be all instrumental and an attempt to be dramatic

) to make up for the lack of movement.
And yes...I actually noticed this with Pokemon (one of the only dubbed animes I've seen enugh of to judge) and trying to figure out how I would translate the Japanese into English with the same anime frames.

maybe coz they use american accents... they should diversify i reckon and use aussie accents, or scottish, or irish, or english etc.
You know...there was this American girl who fansubbed Prince of Tennis and used various English accents to equivalate to their personalities? It was DAM AWESOME.

I heard the Chinese one before. Its sounds close enough to the Japanese original. *lolz*
