We missed the early bird registrations or something, and the price went up by 300$ or something.....

We've often been quite apprehensive about the exorbitant costs that clubs are charged for putting up a stall at Animania, especially now that SMASH is a viable alternative.

This is a question that's been answered several times... Normally we do go to Animania, and we wanted to go to Animania this year but problems on AnimeMQ - not animania - made it so that it was just not feasible.

As a Macquarie University club our focus is on ensuring that we can do Macquarie University events, and consequently expenses elsewhere are of significant consideration for us.

However there were animemq students as part of the panels, Mio (head of MQ's Asian languages department) and Christie (PHD student, tutor, sometimes lectures) were in charge of the academic anime lectures in conjunction with the Sydney Uni.
