Hey everyone. This is a thread I created to discuss the weekly drawing event, *NOT INTENDED TO REPLACE THE EXISTING DISCUSSION THREAD ABOUT THE ART SESSION IN GENERAL*
This first week we are going to draw Danny! Come here Danny, don't be scared. Come closer so everyone can see you...
Aww, don't look so worried! I'm sure everyone will turn you into a beautiful butterfly. I'm especially sure that Eve will draw you in a very manly, very non-homoerotic manner.
The rules of the event are:
- Draw Danny in any style and any situation that you may find appropriate. This could be Danny as a stick figure with breasts, or Danny in a shoujo manga, again with breasts. It could be a drawing of Danny in a hot springs episode of an anime, looking at his breasts, or Danny in some post-apocalyptic future where he has breasts. The creative possibilities are limitless.
-Next week Danny will choose which depiction of him he finds most appealing. That person will get a prize, and also be the next target! Note: that is not the prize.
**CLARIFICATION: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE THE SKETCHES THAT YOU MADE IN THE ART SESSION. THAT WAS A DRAWING EXERCISE TO FREE UP YOUR HANDS AND GET YOU USED TO DRAWING FROM REFERENCE. SORRY FOR ANY CONFUSION.*
By the end of this semester, we hope to have some nice pictures of some of our members, which we can put in some sort of creepy calendar or something for everyone to bring home. What joy!
As for the rest of the art session, yes I am aware that the Wacom pictionary game did not work as well as planned. I blame global warming, and also that everyone is so cultured and knows so much obscure anime. In the future we will probably be using the document camera and pre-prepared or mainstream animes. Again, any suggestions would be great!
