And yes, they're for real. I was disappointed -- thought I was gonna be linked to something like Nia's eyes. (Awesome eyes.) Like the ones at this page -- scroll down for pictures, and keep an eye out for the Carnival lenses.

I have coloured contacts...no one notices when I wear the gold ones since they're not very light (and I have dark eyes, bleh), but I was pretty surprised to have people commenting on my purple ones when I wore them to uni on Friday. They weren't mean about it, though, like some people on that page you linked, Sudoku, are.

I remember reading on a blog somewhere that in Japan, if you look at most of the famous girls, they all have larger than average boobs and big eyes. Something Japan obviously likes!

But back to that initial picture...they just look like normal contact lenses with different colours!!! Alot of my girlfriends (all asian) wear blue contact lenses and they look just like those! They aren't anything special either, you just go to the Optometrist, say you want colour lenses, they do a test on you and bam, get them a week later.

They probably look good on some girls, but what about the consequences of long term use? maybe bulging eye syndrome, I'm imagining worst, gross. I'll stop here.

Anyway I think asian eyes look nice enough big or small eyes, through these lenses can be useful for cosplay.

Where did you get your number from?

I wear them for eight hours-ish, but I wear only like once a week....used to be about thrice a week (rotated with normal contacts) but this week having three 8am starts is seriously not fun. When you're waking up that early don't even feel like poking eyes. Sigh.

These are circle lenses! They are just like normal contact lenses, but they have a coloured ring around on them where the iris should end, to make your eyes look bigger. Apparently they are extremely widely used in Japan and Korea.

Some are more subtle than others. I've been thinking of getting a pair for cosplay/general use purposes lol.

wow never before have i see that many asian eyes with heavy mascara and makeup in one go.
