Totally stealing this topic idea from ARC;
Purpose of the thread is essentially a way to convey (however long/short u want) ur feelings about shows uve recently finished. Helps give perspective to others about shows out there that might be worth a look [ARC topic made me pick up some rly good shows i wouldnt've touched otherwise]

Ima copy pasta my recent post into here for the sake of me not having to write anything while im this tired:

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha As - Liked this one a lot more than the original. Didn't seem as .... 'innocent' i guess the word'd be. There's still a bit too much 'be my friend' and not enough lolwtf-rape tho xD
7.75/10

Hajime no Ippo - Absolutely loved this anime. The characters were just really good, there was serious moments, and those moments that just made me laugh out loud. Whilst the development of the story itself was really predictable and followed a similar structure throughout, i couldnt help but love it irrespective. Rly glad i gave this one a shot, was put off with it being sports n all (especially a sport i have absolutely no interest in in the first place Tongue)
Would've like some more Ippo n Yumi-chan development Wink was kinda dissapointed they didnt start going out.
Overall i gave this a 9.75/10 - rly brilliant imo

Kaiba: I probably havent seen enough anime to need something different to break the mold, which was what everyone was raving about when it started, but this series rly didnt do anything much for me. The animation was fine (dont know why people complain), but the way the story was executed totally lost me. It was just very slow imo and although i rly liked the concept (being able to transfer memories between bodies and the implications of that), yeh, the way the anime went with it didnt agree with me.
It still had its merits, but gets a 6.75/10

Tenchi Muyo: Grouping the first 13 OVA episodes together here. Finally re-DLd my corrupted episode 13 so i could finish this, but the series was very 'meh' imo. Whilst the characters on their own were decent enough, i didnt really enjoy the way that the show was almost completely based on the way they all interacted. Or maybe i just like a nice definitive conclusion, im not sure. I gave the first 6 a 7/10, but the last episodes were rather dull.... so the series on the whole gets a 6.5/10 from me

Sword of the Stranger: OMG QUALITY!!!! DL'd THORA's 1080p release, much to the pain of my poor monthly quota, but ahhhh the quality of the picture was just sooooo lovely. I really enjoyed this movie - a lot of the movies ive seen feel rather... incomplete(?)... in that i'd like to know the characters more, or some more depth of story. But the way this movie was presented left me completely satisfied with that which was offered. The animation of the fighting scenes was excellent (as expected of a decent samurai movie Tongue), the voice acting was v good (whoever chose the voice for the kid did really well - normally those type of characters annoy the hell out of me with their whiny voices) and very content on the whole.
Gave this one a 9.5/10

Happy Lesson (2002): The latest 'train anime' i've watched. Kept me occupied on the terrible public transport system between uni and home, but the anime was just quite lacking.... cbb to add more explanation, but it received a 6.25/10

Code Geass R2: Enjoyed bits n pieces of it, but it felt quite lacking compared to the first one, which held my interest with the strategy of geass. Not to say R2 isnt good either, just in a different way. Was only going to give it an 8, but the final episode pulled my opinion at the last second. So it gets the same rating as the first series with an 8.5/10

Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro -- Nyahahaha. Silly crime solving, but it was funny. I wish I could be face-palmed and handled like that by Neuro. ;__;  Hmm, if only there was a bit more gore. Half the time I could predict where the story was going but it's the little gags which makes it worth watching.

Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu ~ A happy happy anime that was alright.  A pretty average plot and the characters were pretty straightforward, but all become relatively likable.  Some good laughs here and there, but overall is just straightforwardly above average.

7/10?

D.Gray-man - Thought this was going to be another of those 'perpetually ongoing' series.... but it ended at 103 Sad   the ending felt *really* forced. the entire akuma/earl vs exorcist battle didnt wind up... the heart wasnt found etc etc. The series as a whole though was pretty decent; pure shounen Tongue 7.25/10

Honey & Clover - A really nice anime this one *nods*. I was quite skeptical at the beginning with Hagu's introduction (ep1/2) and wasnt sure what direction the anime would go in with a chibi character Tongue but omg the character development was excellent. Going to have to watch #2 to see if it all ties up nicely *hopes* gave it a 9/10

Nurse Witch Komugi-chan Magikarte - A fair 'meh' series imo. Watched an episode a night in between other shows because i didnt feel it warranted watching episodes back to back Tongue thought moetan had a better mahou shoujo setting (*drools*) and Komugi didnt rly meet my expectations. it was pleasant enough in itself, but doesnt compare to a lot of the series ive watched --> 6/10

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei - Wasn't too bad this show (although i gave up on pausing/playing to read the blackboard after the second episode... so much effort xD). The characters were nice, but i noticed a distinct lack of suicidal tendencies past the first few episodes.... which i didnt mind for the "ZETSUBOUSHITA" animation/proclamation (this bit) totally made it up for me. I loved that haha. Whilst nice n all, the series lacked a certain something i cant tangibly recognise, so i'll give up trying to explain my reasoning and just say i gave it 7.25/10

Kamen no Maid Guy - It's finally subbed Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy ahhhhh i <3'd this series terribly. Maid Guy himself is freaking awesome, the ecchi is excellent (Naeka-sama's Breast Fan Club? xDDD), the characters are funny. Ahhhh brilliant haha. I'd totally watch this one again sometime - 9.5/10

Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge - It's amazing how they can hot they can draw the boys and so ugly the next minute. ~____~;; Lots of laughs but the drawing is meh-meh.. and so is the plot although I admit did squeal from time to time from all the eye candy and kira kira-ness. It's just a turn off to think they're 15 yrs old. WTH.... ;____;

Lucky Star OVA - Thought it was pretty decent. Was only a short thing, which helped it out a lot compared to the original series.... which was hard to get through. I loved the online bit, and OMFG COMIC BOOK GUY haha. he totally made the series for me. loved the keroro gunsou reference too. however it still had the pitfalls of the original - in that it rly didnt captivate me. Gave it a 7.25/10

Chi's Sweet Home - OMFG CUTE~~ Love :O Love :O 104 3 minute episodes this one - its such a feel good anime. chi is absolutely adorable, and the VA... ugh just brilliant. I must've listened to the OP on repeat for like 2 hours straight (then i'd had enough haha). it was also good because of the length of each episode. i could just come back to it whenever i felt etc etc. Had to pull some points from it because its conclusion annoyed me lol. so gave it 8.5/10

Music Videos
4 Day Weekend - Pretty meh... song wasnt that great and animation didnt wow me. 5/10
Survival - Song was intriguing, but not my style. Animation wasnt too bad tho. 5/10
Clover - Sound went really well with the animation. Animation was good. 6.5/10
Glass Eye - Terrible in almost all respects Tongue Song was barely present (dont know why anidb classifies it as a music video for the most part), and animation was wtf. 3.5/10
Clamp in Wonderland - Song was fair boring and i didnt recognise any of the characters Tongue definitely had the clamp style to it though. 4.5/10
Clamp in Wonderland 2 1995-2006 - Characters i recognise!!! From angelic layer, xxxHolic, Chobits, CCS, Clover, Tsubasa Chronicles (and others i didnt know) all tied together with a nice song n rly good animation. 8/10

One Piece Movie 1 - Was a decent attempt considering its a movie for one of those ongoing series (bleach movie 1 was fair bad, and all the first 2 naruto ones sucked... havent seen the rest). Didnt really feel like it deviated from the story, felt natural the way it worked out etc etc. Decent in its own right whilst i was waiting for monthly quota to tick over. 7/10

azumanga daioh comes to mind straight away Tongue
but im assuming you've seen it.... as everyone should have xD

maybes:
honey and clover? some bits are funny, but its focused more on the romance side. definitely has some chibi moments
Kyou no Go no Ni (original 4ep ova) - cant remember bout the chibi, but its funny in an everyday setting

i havent watched much in the way of slice of life, so the following are anidb things for 'daily life' that I have, which'll be is as close as it gets to me be able to recommend somthing
School Rumble, Clannad, Chi's Sweet Home (dont rly think its fits what ur looking for tho), Byousoku 5 Centimeter, Bartender, Genshiken, Kokoro Library (dont watch XD), Maria-sama ga Miteru, NHK ni Youkoso, Kanon

it has its moments - but serious for the most part. maria-sama isnt rly funny like that either.... the ones at the bottom were just from a wide 'daily life' genre search...
genshiken is good too tho now i think about it - no chibi, but its funny (taste dependent)

try sensei ojikan, similar to azumanga daioh but the jokes are more along the line of corny "funny" than funny "funny" for all its worth if you have seen azumnga you'd proly like it too.

currently i'm watching toradora, clannad after story and rosario + vampire 2. all also can be classified as comedies i guess.
and you should try watching hayate no gotoku, 50 eps of nothing but pure randomness and references.
