Totally stealing this topic idea from ARC;
Purpose of the thread is essentially a way to convey (however long/short u want) ur feelings about shows uve recently finished. Helps give perspective to others about shows out there that might be worth a look [ARC topic made me pick up some rly good shows i wouldnt've touched otherwise]
Ima copy pasta my recent post into here for the sake of me not having to write anything while im this tired:
Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha As - Liked this one a lot more than the original. Didn't seem as .... 'innocent' i guess the word'd be. There's still a bit too much 'be my friend' and not enough lolwtf-rape tho xD
7.75/10Hajime no Ippo - Absolutely loved this anime. The characters were just really good, there was serious moments, and those moments that just made me laugh out loud. Whilst the development of the story itself was really predictable and followed a similar structure throughout, i couldnt help but love it irrespective. Rly glad i gave this one a shot, was put off with it being sports n all (especially a sport i have absolutely no interest in in the first place

)
Would've like some more
Ippo n Yumi-chan development
was kinda dissapointed they didnt start going out.
Overall i gave this a
9.75/10 - rly brilliant imo
Kaiba: I probably havent seen enough anime to need something different to break the mold, which was what everyone was raving about when it started, but this series rly didnt do anything much for me. The animation was fine (dont know why people complain), but the way the story was executed totally lost me. It was just very slow imo and although i rly liked the concept (being able to transfer memories between bodies and the implications of that), yeh, the way the anime went with it didnt agree with me.
It still had its merits, but gets a
6.75/10Tenchi Muyo: Grouping the first 13 OVA episodes together here. Finally re-DLd my corrupted episode 13 so i could finish this, but the series was very 'meh' imo. Whilst the characters on their own were decent enough, i didnt really enjoy the way that the show was almost completely based on the way they all interacted. Or maybe i just like a nice definitive conclusion, im not sure. I gave the first 6 a 7/10, but the last episodes were rather dull.... so the series on the whole gets a
6.5/10 from me
Sword of the Stranger: OMG QUALITY!!!! DL'd THORA's 1080p release, much to the pain of my poor monthly quota, but ahhhh the quality of the picture was just sooooo lovely. I really enjoyed this movie - a lot of the movies ive seen feel rather... incomplete(?)... in that i'd like to know the characters more, or some more depth of story. But the way this movie was presented left me completely satisfied with that which was offered. The animation of the fighting scenes was excellent (as expected of a decent samurai movie

), the voice acting was v good (whoever chose the voice for the kid did really well - normally those type of characters annoy the hell out of me with their whiny voices) and very content on the whole.
Gave this one a
9.5/10Happy Lesson (2002): The latest 'train anime' i've watched. Kept me occupied on the terrible public transport system between uni and home, but the anime was just quite lacking.... cbb to add more explanation, but it received a
6.25/10Code Geass R2: Enjoyed bits n pieces of it, but it felt quite lacking compared to the first one, which held my interest with the strategy of geass. Not to say R2 isnt good either, just in a different way. Was only going to give it an 8, but the final episode pulled my opinion at the last second. So it gets the same rating as the first series with an
8.5/10
