Hey guys!
I want to start this post with some epic news:
I recently passed my AMusA exam for the piano. Which is an Associate Diploma of Performance for the piano.
And so, I would now like to propose an anime/games themed concert at Macquarie uni. (no date or hall bookings until i got enough nods)
It'll mostly be me and the piano, but I have connections with some bands and perhaps even an orchestra.
Who is interested in coming to such an event?

you might be able to see me in there randomly in there thursdays at 9pm, and tuesdays at 3pm kekekek ^__^
last tues, there was a random person listening O__O scary~ kekekek~~

ps if thats at unsw that would be my friends and me =_= we got a tute somewhere near the big glass building near the main walkway where i can always hear music coming out of. ps. we aren't creepy we are just dead bored like a zombie.

i would... but yeh.. wat are we UNSW ppl doing here...  OH YEH, SHARING THE LOVE  so ur doing an eminence eh.. hhmmm... i wonder wat happened to them.... T____T wat scores (am i using the right word) do u hav in mind.?? as much as i like Joe Hisashi and FinalFantasy piano themes... they are over used.... LOL |

no no eminence is still doing anime and games.... they just been busy for like a year now for some reason they're just been quite atm, after they did something for SOUL CALIBUR 4... they jsut had no time to do any concerts... actually they hav been working on DIABLO 3 recently so they still got no time for a new concert... meh, at least EMINENCE is making a name in the industy... also, their site is back online... i was offline for months... well... at least we can get a MQ concert soon right.... right...  |

i thought they fell back to only doing production stuff rather than concerts. but if its true they are just falling back for one year on concerts that would be awesome.

I'M INTERESTED!!!! SIGN ME UP! (As long as it's in the holidays!) WAI!! I love classical music and anime music fused together!!! It's been ages I've been to a concert- my last one was Eminence.... Which sadly enough I've heard lots of bad rumors about them (esp. Hiroaki Yuki *sob sob*). So I'm glad you're deciding to do something like this AmenoKitarou  If you need help with 'behind the scenes' work then I don't mind volunteering! As long as I don't have to wear anything gross/cute then I'm fine with it! ^_^ Oh and congratulations on passing the exam! Must've been a tough one huh? (I'm no musically talented or have any musical knowledge... but just seeing the name of that exam sounds horrible) |

I do alot of anime and classical piano myself....so it'll be quite interesting...
By the way, what anime songs and classical songs can you play so far....?
As for me, I can mostly do songs from recent/moderately recent anime series like:
"Arigato Anata He" (the piano version of the OP) from H2O: Footprints in the sand
"Hare Hare Yukai" from Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi
"Triangler" from Macross Frontier
"Discotheque" from Rosario to Vampire ~Capu 2~
"motto☆Hade ni ne!" (OP) from Kannagi
most of which aren't originally piano, I just re-arranged them as piano but with slightly slower tempo.
Classical stuff that I do include alot of Chopin waltz, Maurice Ravel stuff, Rachmaninoff, mostly romantic to modern stuff. I only know one Beethoven song which is "Spring" but I've never learnt "Fur Elise" which is kinda strange, but I don't like that song anyway.
My suggestions for songs to play would be:
Stuff from DNAngel such as Byakuya or Caged Bird or Guidepost. The first two has scores posted on the web somewhere and I have the scores for guidepost which I don't think is available on the web.
Could try Kaleido Star stuff, they sound quite nice on piano.
Nodame Cantabile (You should be able to do some of them with your skill)
As for live bands, stuff from macross frontier is an excellent choice.
