Rei-chan here to introduce to you to an event where you get the chance to get to know and have a great time with new and old members of SUAnime! HOORAY!!!  (^0^)/

So without further ado… Get ready for our event to welcome new and old members of SUAnime….

いらつしやいませ！Welcome tour! Event

When: 28th, Saturday February 2009
Where: USYD (CAMPERDOWN) on the front lawns of the Quadrangle. We will be waiting for you at where our stand was from O-Week
Time: 11am-11pm(approx.)
RSVP!!: 27th, Friday February 2009

This event, involves many things! Not just chatting and eating at *insert restaurant* (It’s  a SURPRISE!) my friends… No…. It also involves a TOUR around the city! A special tour that we will show you places that you either have not been there in ages or a place that you never knew existed! Be amazed!

Not only we’ll give you an awesome TOUR! We’ll also head over to Norita Cafe ( 77th, Liverpool St,  Lvl 2, Sydney) and battle each other in games such as UTS Jenga, Settlers, Chrononauts and MANY MANY MANY MORE!!!

But WAIT! Here’s another exciting part of this event!   If you think that, that’s not enough… Then join us for dinner and some crazy desserts! But be warned… For some major stomach aches from over eating!!!

いらつしやいませ is how the word was spelled 60 years ago…it would be いらっしゃいませ now. Besides, the more appropriate word would be ようこそ.

Ahh... Thanks. Just to let you know I got that from the chopsticks cover from KURA II ^^;;; Yeh... This is what you get from learning Japanese by watching anime. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for that ^^

I think she was referencing Ouran which is why she used いらっしゃいませ as opposed to ようこそ...maybe

いらっしゃいませ isn’t appropriate in this context however (means more ‘welcome to our shop’, which would explain Ouran). ようこそ is the more general word for welcome (as in ‘Welcome to SUAnime’, NHKにようこそ!)

I wasn’t able to come to the tour or join during O-Week unfortunately, but I enjoyed the K&E during Sem 2 last year and am also really looking forward to future events. よろしく!
