Hi I'm new here and I just wan't to say that THIS SITE ROCKS!!!
This site gave me interest so I decided to join. But what makes me got more interest is that there is Animania on SYDNEY :O And I will join in. But first, I have to get some cosplay and stuff. I would appreciate if anyone will help me (cause its hard for me to get one).

Regarding Animania, it doesn't matter whether you have a cosplay or not. If you insist on having a cosplay, just remember that cardboard mecha is always acceptable and Franklins always has a steady supply of boxes.

What club are you a part of?
For cosplay, I'd suggest either making it yourself, getting someone else to make it for you, or buy it off E-bay or some other online store. Unfortunately there aren't many stores in Australia that maked cosplay costumes (for cheap).

Unfortunately, I'm not into any clubs. In fact, I'm always busy (since I'm a high school boy and have to pass year 10) and don't have much time. But do I have to be in any club to join here? If so.. weird website... lol.
Well I suck at designing so I guess I will ask someone to do it for me. I know it wont be cheap but I wont care as long as its worth the price.

Anyone is welcome on the forums, that's no problem. In fact, High School Students can even join some of the clubs, even though they're Uni-based. If you live close to one of the Unis, you should keep an eye out on their part of the forum and see if it's alright for you to stop by one of their events.
With regards to costumes, let me tell you a story about tonight: I went to a party where the costume theme was "Genres". My costume was a box that went around my head, with a gun through the bottom of it, and health, armour and ammo counters in the bottom corners. I was an FPS. That won a competition at the party. Put simply, if you can make something look simple and right, it might work (Though probably just for house parties, don't expect any prizes at conventions. People might keep stopping you to say how awesome you look, though).

Yeah I thought so.. I'm also guessing I'm one of the youngest member here.
Anyway about Animania can anyone help me? (Since its going to be my first time)
1st: What are the basics (like shows, kinds of they sell etc)
2nd: Can we take pictures with other cosplay's
3rd:If I do Karaoke, do they provide their own music or do we provide our own. If we have to provide our own, what devices we need to bring? If that was kinda complicated, what kind of music device we need to bring (cds, USB, etc)

No, you don't have to be party of a club to join here. lol. I was just curious since all the unis have just had our O-weeks and O-days, so we've received an inflow of new people. Welcome again! |

Why not come to our Kick-Off Party? It's on Friday the 13th at our uni. You don't need to be a uni student or member to come. Some information is floating around the Events section, so you can check it out if you want. =]
