Your bf sounds like me...just the opposite gender. =P (My BF saw 2-3 movies that I wanted to see while I was in Japan during the X'mas holidays) The movie is bursting with the aura of failure...how can you not want to watch it??
And this is how the movie will become a box office smash...We're encouraging the evil, but yet we are still compelled to watch this movie...

While i say this movie is bursting with the aura of failure, I don't think it can match the potency of failure that is the new Street Fighter movie...a few minutes from youtube is enough to make it seem worse than DB:E.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWGysz8XU90Oh god...the first, third and fourth clips from the vid...*shudder* stupid Chris Klein and Taboo... Woo fmp movie, well if anything at least i don't think they will be able to screw up mecha fights so it might be interesting.
Besides fmp's storyline is soo deep, its really hard to make anyway, so it might be worth watching.

Full Metal Panic live-action is now in the works, and Zac Effron wants to star it
