OMG ALICE IN WONDERLAND.

<3
is it out yet? it doesn't look anything like i remember the book to be... i don't remember any army for one, or a battle, or the rabbit being that angry. it looks almost like alice in wonderland meets lord of the rings.

From what I know, Alice is an adult or reaching adulthood.
It's set several years afer Alice's first adventure, and now, the Red Queen/Queen of Hearts lady has taken over Wonderland is is being generally Very Very Evil.
The overall feel of the film is darker, angster with more horror than the child's version of Alice. It twists the original sinister atmosphere to something more horrific.

It reminds me of American McGee's Alice, except without the gore and violence.
I WISH I COULD HAVE PLAYED IT! THE DEMO IS SO GOOOOD!   Cry

i was actually hoping that the movie release of Alice in Wonderland to be more American McGee type.... until I saw "Disney" on it.

But the general atmosphere is like that of American McGee's Alice (and the plot with Alice must triumph against the Wicked Red Queen thing who has taken over Wonderland).
It least it's darker than Disney usually goes. =D And it's Tim Burton. Sweedney Todd scared the life out of me.

I suppose there will be a happy ending. =(
Can't the Mad Hatter reign over Wonderland for ever and ever? That would be so epic!

i was actually thinking of grimm fairytales version of alice in wonderland when i saw the trailer. i wonder if it will be something like that. the fact that it has a Disney scorch branded on it means it is proly made to be "kid friendly" and yeah, Disney + Tim Burton is an odd mix.

I dunno, Pirates of the Carribean's a Disney movie, and that turned out just fine. (Well, not the two sequels, but the first one was fine.)

Indeed, Disney + Tim Burton is a very odd combination, but I guess I'll just have to watch it to find out.

As for Pirates of the Carribean, the second one was alright too. It was just the third movie that was stretched into 100 different directions and obviously made little sense.

Pirates of the Carribean, like the Matrix, shouldn't have made sequels...

I reckon Matrix Reloaded was great....even if it was just for Merv and the epic hand-to-hand combat scene and the highway chase thing. =D

Matrix Revolution didn't live up to my expectations, I admit. But the series itself is pretty good.

(even with the rumours that it ripped off Ghost in the Shell...which I can sort of see the truth in but not really)
