My birthday party is coming up on the 30th of June. It's going to be my 21st, but I'm not as interested in alcohol-fueled hijinks as others may be inclined. The plan is the following:

People from Anime@UTS and EGG have been invited, making up about 20-25 people.

Schedule
Date: Tuesday, 30th of June
Meeting Place: UTS Tower, in the concourse
Meeting Time: 3:15pm If you arrive after 3:30, we will already have left and will expect you at the venue. Time waits for no man. I will arrive around 12, and will probably sit around and chill.

Karaoke
Place: Echo Point Basement, 262 Pitt Street, Sydney NSW 2000
4:00pm-7:00pm: Karaoke, in one or two rooms.

Each Karaoke room can house up to 1220 people, and I expect a number between 8-15 per room. If you intend to go to Karaoke, it is essential you say so.

Dinner
7:30pm-9:00pm, or until people decide they won't eat anymore
Place: Musashi, 447 Pitt Street(Cnr. Pitt & Campbell Street) Sydney 2000

Notes
No booking will be made at the restaurant, as it does not accept bookings past 6:00pm. However, the restaurant can house up to 125 people, and the staff stated that the restaurant is fairly empty on tuesday nights. If worse comes to worst, we will be eating outdoors in the middle of winter.

I will update this post later on with the list of people attending, and I will arbitrarily assign a group to the person (EGG or Anime@UTS). This is merely for the purpose of character naming, and I have no intention of segregating the groups artificially.

Those of you I have invited know who you are. If you have not been invited, please inform me if you wish to attend, but I can't provide the same level of guarantee that you will be able to participate.

I am open to suggestions as to things to do after dinner (read: I'm easily swayed).

Due to lower-than-expected turnouts for karaoke, I have changed plans and decided to have karaoke in just one room, and to go for 3 hours instead of two (since it's just one room). Dinner has been pushed back to 7:30 to 9 pm. If you are aware of the changes, let me know through the forum, e-mail, sms, letter, smoke signals, etc. It then reduces the amount of people I need to chase up. Further changes will be notified by the thread only unless a change is made within less than 24 hours of the event's start, in which case I will call up people. If you didn't know what was going on, it's your own fault. The event is incredibly well documented.

The place is called Echo Point. Remember that the rendezvous place is the UTS tower, but please if you intend to go directly (for example, if you are late, or simply you are already at Town Hall), please notify me, especially if you will arrive at the venue after 3:50.

Please do not use the English song list, as we will be using the Japanese system (based on joysound). You can search for songs using this interface. MOONSPEAK WARNING Be aware that you may have to format your input in certain ways (it seems to be picky about the way it takes strings). I make no guarantees that the song will be there if you find it in the website. The song may have been added to the system recently and thus may not be in the machine.
If you are searching for Japanese songs, I also will remind you that Japanese look down on us filthy Gaijin by not allowing us to search with romaji.
