*UPDATE: THE EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO THE 9TH OF SEPTEMBER! NOT THE 29TH OF AUGUST!!!*
Konnichuwa minna desu! How are you all going guys!
I’ve been pretty busy and haven’t organised much this semester! I apologize for not having anything on recently but I have been preparing two events while I have been working on my assessments. These events are:
“Capture” the flag!!!Yes! That’s right! ‘Capture’ the flag! Just like the capture the flag game on halo or team fortress... HOWEVER.... it comes with a twist.
Instead of using insanely high powered weapons and running around blowing up each other to bits with friendly fire and bunny hopping around the place, we’ll be using CAMERAS! Yes! CAMERAS! For this event, all you’ll need as your weapon will be your very own digital camera or mobile phone or whatever you have available to participate in this event!
WE WILL NEED 20 OR MORE PEOPLE TO PARTICIPATE FOR THIS EVENT!!!How to play:•You’ll get 1 hour per game.
•Each team will have one flag each.
•There will be two teams. Each team will have one member that carries the flag *obviously he won’t be able to take the photos*.
-The person holding the flag must stay with at least 2 members of the team. These members must provide cover and ‘protect’ the flag from being ‘captured’. They may do anything from using themselves as a camera shield or help scout for any opposing team in their vicinity.
•The team members who are not carrying the flag will be equipped with the standard issue camera *which they will provide themselves lol*. Their GOAL is to take photos of the opposing team. These photos will bring in points to your team. The points structure are:
- Photo of member without their flag – 1point per member
- For instance, if you get a photo of 2 members without their flag in the vicinity of the photo, you will score only 2points
- Photo of member with their flag – 4 points and 1 point extra for every other member in the photo
- For instance, if you get ONLY a photo of JUST the member of the opposing team holding the flag, then you’ll receive ONLY 4 points.
- If you get a photo of the member of the opposing team member with the flag and another 3 members within the photo vicinity, you’ll get 4 points + 2 points.
- Photo of ALL of the members + their flag in the photo – 15 points!
The rules will follow:•No hurting each other! SO NO WEAPONS!
•You must have a camera! Camera phones and etc are also allowed!
•Please don’t hassle the public while playing the game. Last thing we want is to get arrested by police officers lol...
•No running with the flag into toilets!
•No taking photos in the toilets!
