Hi guys…This is going to be a work in progress thread, hope you guys enjoy and perhaps learn some techniques along the way so feel free to ask me any questions. I think since there was great interest on air brushing and general construction, ill post this here and keep the discussion open on the nuts and bolts of making a Gundam model.
What I have here a 1/100 MG Strike Rouge Gundam this is what I was working on the day of our Gundam workshop, I was airbrushing the individual pieces that day I had parts held by blue tack on bamboo skewers mounted on wooden clothes pegs. I managed to airbrush and construct the lower half of the model that day I got a few more pics to upload later.
I selected this model because its been neglected a little some bits are broken so its going to need a little bit of repair all in all everything is still there just requires a little rebuild. Like some of the models in our shop this one was built out of the box and left unpainted, this is quite a nice model as its quite articulated and can be posed in many different ways. As you can see this model is molded in pink plastic, it has lived in our Gundam bits box (aka. Gundam Graveyard) it’s been sitting there for the past year as it started to discolor under the fluorescent lights in our showcase as well as being damaged when we packed it for the Melbourne Toy Fair. This model was also built by one of my inexperienced staff members so it was a little rough and needs to be cleaned up basically it’s a full rebuild.

This is the pile of plastic that I’ll be rebuilding, I’ve re-glued most of the broken bits some will require a bit of refinishing

The top half of the Strike Rouge only part of the model that was still intact.

I’ve marked parts Y(Yellow,Orange mix)and B (Brown) since I will be changing the paint scheme so bye bye Pink.

This piece here is also in ok shape, needs a clean up though.
