finished my 1/144 Knight of gold version 3, a mecha from FSS

It is the hardest Level 3 kit that i have worked on since all of the parts come unpainted which makes my gold marker almost runs out.

this pose would be really awesome if there are L.E.D Mirages behind

some of the K.O.G art for comparison

probably i should get a Primer when i am going to work on Mirage Sarion

well i should get another marker if i want to get Patraqushe mirage  Roll Eyes

if you are interested in FSS i would recommend to read the manga first, most of them are translated which you can find in /rs/ Smiley .
or some wikis about the series: http://gearsonline.net/fss/
This series is one of the hidden jewel in mecha series and easily as good as Gundam or Macross since the story is simply too epic.

have you considered using the gold spray paints? it would be much easier than the marker, incidentally did you use a tamiya paint pen or one of those gundam branded ones, cause i found the tamiya paint pens to be superior but i cant find them anywhere

@ Yamino Seigi : Oooh that FSS kit is another one in my must build list! Considering its been done with marker it doesn't look too bad it has that certain look about it that its all scuffed up and somewhat battle worn. That said this kit would look smashin if it was airbrushed with some Alclad metallic paints. Quick question for you? I cant remember but were you in our last Gunpla meet? I know that we have another one coming up in July, I would love to show you how to aibrush some of your mechs. You seem to finish models faster than most of us lol they arent bad however I can show you simple techniques that would polish up your work to the next level...

@Rhyan actually i am not from UNSW so i have never been in any of the gunpla meet  Smiley
the problem with gundam marker is that i can't paint the parts evenly and during the process of painting, my marker stuck which makes some of the parts seems unpainted.

As for FSS, one of the amazing parts is the designs of the mecha which are elegant and Mamoru Nagano did a great job, though some people find the mecha rather anorexic

some of my personal favorite Mortar Headds
Bang Doll

Mighty Alpha(Akatsukihime)

Siren Neptune

@Mithril the FSS design of the mecha is medievalesque so it looks like Escaflowne, i like FMP AS design as well XD like Laevatein, Codarl or Gernsback, too bad they don't have that many AS designs, wished the rest of FMP Sigma get translated Sad

more Mortar Headd Pics :
Siren Phantom

Vatshu the Black Knight

im back !

alclad testing subject complete (:

used
pale gold
chrome
transparent red

very tricky stuff to work with. the pale gold came out fine. the candy red was a nightmare, and the chrome frosted since i was painting at like 10 degrees ): and had bad preperation

is mostly done i guess, i can touchup a few of the gems with transparent green and yellow and so on but id say its done, will prolly put it in bakuc just for show alongside another sd (: no limit on entries yeahhh lol what?

im really proud of the masking though (: remember that the gold was the undercoat (:

One of my latest builds. Came at the cost of using 5 hg 00's or their varients.
Weapons list....
GN Beam Sabers x4
GN Sword III x2
GN Sword II Long x2
GN Sword II Blaster x2
GN Katars x2
GN Buster Sword II x 2
GN Buster Sword III x 2

Im tempted to modify it and add 2 more 0 raiser binders. Not sure where they'd fit though.
