zomg... PGs... too poor to afford one. There's an Astray Red Frame that i wanna get. It's on display at Games Paradise at Market City. But it's freakin' expensive... something like 299 or 399 =\. I'll stick to my MGs thanks. Next kit i wanna find is the Unicorn Ver Ka. Can't find it anywhere in sydney. =\ Good stuff on the Wing Gundamn... though i've never really been a fan of its design.

Astray PG is cool if you can get the first limited edition or the special edition with extra backpack. I won't buy the normal edition since the price between the first limited edition and the normal one are the same.

RX-0 Unicorn is good but after some time (esp if you often move) the joint will get loose. and be careful when build Unicorn since it still using the old MG model that has no PC part which make it more difficult to build than the MG Seed series.

You might able to find Unicorn on Hobby Dream though its the metallic finish one.

Yeah,  I saw some of yours earlier today, it was pretty awesome - although the oldschool style of actually using hobby cement and glue is a little offputting..

Most Hasegawa kit are Level 3 kits since paint and cement is required and you will find most of these kits are either Airplane model or military Vehicle. But it is pretty fun building that kind model since it takes more time to finish compared to HG kits and panel lining them gives better personal satisfaction Cheesy. finally finished the YF-21 here are some pics of it and the comparison with YF-19:

i messed up a bit this time since there are lots of cement traces on the model, personally i prefer 1/72 YF-19 since there are more details and not that bulky, and i don't really like the yellow color from the given decal on YF-21 because the color is kinda dull

They look really good! Although I must confess I am rather ignorant of the earlier Macross series and their mecha - I'm only partially familiar with Frontier, and only for some of its more *famous* bits like !~KIRA~! and other...shenanigans.

Mhmm.
How long does it take you to put a Hasegawa kit together, instead of the usual Bandai snapfit ones?
I mean, you'd have to do the same routine of clipping them off the frame, then sanding them/trimming flash, and then having to painstaking apply that cement glue - I remember when I was younger I had a F14 Tomcat aircraft model and putting it together with glue was just horrible - the cement melting the edges of the actual join, ending up with slightly gooey imprints on the panelling *shiver*.

And I thought only Bandai had the licensing to make plamo kits from Macross stuff...because I have alto's VF-25 modelkit sitting high above my bookshelf, waiting to be built, sometime in the future

usually it may takes a whole day for me to assemble Level 3 kits including marking and painting them and then took another day for putting decals on them, but for YF-21 i guess it is a bit faster half day assembly than half day for decalling. i had same experience as you Wonk back when i was a kid i also tried to build some airplane model and had no proper knowledge of modelling and the plane ends up failed and simply broken Sad

Another company that manufacture macross kits other than Bandai was Hasegawa, Yamato(Nice Tranformable 1/60 Toy Valks), Wave and Arii and i guess probably Bandai Licensed the production of Macross kits during the Macross Frontier which ends up all Macross Frontier kits are made by Bandai including the Chogokins as well. I guess Older Macross Kits are still built by other factories
