hey i just moved up to sydney i start year 12 2010 and i dont really know any one yet so i thought i mite join an anime club Cheesy but i was just wondering do you have to be going to one of the unis to join.

nope, we'll take your membership fee no matter where you are Cheesy, but seriously its no hurdle, we have members who dont go to the same uni and at least one other person in your position

It just depends if you can make it to club events on a highschool time table. For example with JAUWS we run one of our screening sessions during the middle of the day, the other one is in the afternoon and shouldn't be to much of a problem. But im not sure on other anime clubs.

I joined AnimeUNSW back in year 10 and even though I usually miss out on the weekday events like anime screenings and art sessions, I make it to nearly all of the weekend and evening events like Gunpla which is a gundam workshop and dinners and such.

Yep, UTS would be the closest. If you want to join, our O-day is on the 25th of February and we'll probably have our first event on the 27th of Feb (which is a Saturday). If you want more details, you can PM me or just keep an eye on the forums. We're currently in the process of re-doing our website, so its probably not the most reliable place for info atm.
