Mini-Animania
Date: 20th of March
Location: Australian Technology Park, Redfern

Mini-Animania is back this year and at a new venue. So whose planning on going?

I'm not sure if I'm going yet. Previous years have been a bit quiet and cramped. That and the lack of vendors kinda made it a bit dull, but it was one of the better conventions to hang out with people (I thought anyway). Maybe the new venue will change that though. Judging from the stallholder's form we've got, it looks like they're planning on having a fair few more vendors and maybe the new venue will incite more people to come. But I've never been a big fan of Technology Park, I think I prefer Town Hall despite all its cramped, dark and stuffy atmosphere.

Well I don't think they have the normal ticket pricing out yet, but the Staff Pass is about $25 per person, so its probably roughly around that price.

If it's an anime convention type, I think I'm happy to go. =.=;
I haven't been to one due to parent disapproval of anime in general. D: Mostly my mum.

But will consider it. :\ And try to drag friends along. >D
Hopefully things are cheaper than some stores? :\

I'm just wondering why it is at the ATP. Depending on which shed they get that place is huge and it may be kinda empty.

Well I've heard its going to be a different "shed" than the normal Animania, but not too sure.

Well a smaller shed could help them keep TRACK of everything happening in the convention.

It might become more expensive tho, since the old rail shed will be bigger than that hotel, it might require them to TRAIN more volunteers.

(Sorry to break the pun train, but I noticed you don't have times? D: I'm not exactly sure if I can come, but I would like to anyway.)

So any plans for a UTS raid, or is it every man and woman for themselves. Either way, I'm planning on making an appearance...surely that's worth the trip to go...oh and the stalls I suppose...
