This sounds really interesting, I hope I can build a decent enough kit to enter the competition =o The trip to HK definitely sounds good too, lol. Also wondering whether any of our Gunpla modelers will be entering. Maybe we can start preparing our kits, it would be really cool if someone from AnimeUNSW won xD

Im dont want to sound too pessimistic, but to be honest, BAKUC 09 finals in Hong Kong was pretty dodgy.
It was much smaller than the previous years, and the decore was pretty bad
Heres some pics to judge for yourselves.

For people interested, here's some links to one of the finest modded Gundams out there. I'm a fan of Kdash's work now after surfing the web, especially the Phoenix Destiny and his Dragon Mod.
This is for inspiration for the Gunpla Builders interested in the competition. Thought I'd share some creative Gunplas I found.

Would definetly be interested, but so little time, and much lack of airbrush funds, so hopefully the deadline's during the holidays!

One thing that bothers me though is the score for modification, pla-plate, dremelling and aftermarket metal parts seem way out of my league >.<

I strongly recommend everyone tries to enter something. Show them what our club is made of hahaha. You get to show your work off to everyone that is going to SMASH! and it gets judged by the pros.
BAKUC will definatly be a recurring thing and the best way to improve is to give it a go!! Even though I can't win, I'm aiming to have my Sinanju there just to show off my work lol so yeah. There are prizes for SD's and HG kits too, so even if you don't mod, you can still enter and win stuff!

Hopefully, Rhyan can set up those wanted Gunpla meets in order for us to all get some pro pointers on building and painting our Gundams so we can represent AnimeUNSW.
I'm looking forward to just trying to Air Brush any of the Kits I might get. I'm thinking of changing the colour scheme of my NG Exia. It's been incomplete and in the kit for many years. Sad

^ I'd like that idea too. And those pics of those modded Gundams are crazy. If only I had the time and resources... and money  Undecided to try it.
I'd make bigger wings for my MG Wing Zero Custom!
