Hi Guys!

Organizing the BAKUC is getting me all hyped up and at the moment I’m very much in Gunpla mode. What I have here is my 1/100 Avalanche Exia, I’ve been working on this model on and off for the last 2 months. This is one of my favorite mech’s besides the EX-S of course… it’s been a slow build since I cant get a good groove on as well as this being a proper build and paint!  This is not the usual wham bam 2 day kit bash that I’ve been doing of late. I’m happy to say that right now I’m a gunpla building machine XD,  I’m motivated and I have lots of ideas for my other project as well, just recently resurrected my MG Strike Rouge out of the box and been happily striping the old paint and starting from scratch again, sometimes there are projects that just doesn’t turn out the way you want it to…thank goodness for paint stripper lol

Anyway here are a couple of teaser pics  of what I’ve been doing of late, hoping to wrap this up soon , just need to finish the overall build then its time to apply decals, I’ll be using a mixture of decals to finish this build up nicely… I realy love the color scheme! It originally had a dark yellow in the scheme but I replaced it with a light earth instead.

This is the Avalanche in its standard paint scheme.

As most of you guys know I tend to build my kits by trimming and painting each part before I start any sort of assembly. On our last Gunpla meet some of you have seen my plastic containers of painted parts, I do the panel lines as well before assembly.

Here are shots of the torso and arms.

What do you guys think?

Can't wait to see completed version. I trim, paint, line and assemble as I look through the manual, since I didn't trust myself to put the right parts together if I jumble them all up. But the manuals are really detailed anyways. So with 1/100 NG Exia, I'm going to trim, sand, compound, line and put them into labeled containers for airbrushing at the future Gunpla Sessions. Thinking of a Black-White with some Red or Blue scheme.
Hey Rhyan, from your pictures, you panel lined your pieces before airbrushing. Is this better?

i am not pro at gundam but i think it is difficult to judge the color scheme based on incomplete model. it is a lot easier to judge the effectiveness once completed. however saying that i think a little bit of mix of the good old camouflage pattern color scheme (just the color set, not painting it camouflage) actually works nicely. another one i want to experiment with is chrome-aqua flanks, high gloss black core; silver, chrome-red and jungle-green-gloss trimming. it is the color scheme hugo boss used for the original SS tottenkopf uniform. i intended to apply it to my zaku since PoZ is based on nazi germany.

Hi Guys!

I've been a little quiet of late since work has been chaotic! Hey aren't we up for another Gunpla day soon?

Anyway here's a quick teaser Cheesy Avalanche is 95% done I just realized I forgot to panel line a couple of bits. I'm planning to give this Avalanche a great big gun on top of that GN Sword (Remember FAZZ?) well not quite but milder! This only came to me when I put this in the showcase downstairs. Will post more pics at a later date when I finish the new rifle.
