Hey guys, in light of the recent bbq event, just wondering what your favourite beer is. If you don't drink beer, what is your favourite alcoholic beverage. If you don't drink at all, you should neck yourself.

There isn't really anything I won't drink, but I quite like kahlua and sake. Double blacks are alright too.

... Oh wait, this is a question of beer. I've never actually had beer.

Hmm, well my asian genes make me turn bright red at anything but french champagne... but i still drink  Blush

As far as beer goes, Heineken and Cascade i like, some times Corona is good, specially with some lemon/lime. And even though it's more apple cider than beer, Strongbows are great.

For non-beer i'm kinda old fashioned, fav drinks are gin+tonic, Cognac & Cointreau.

I love tsingtao, heineken, corona (hell, even desperados xP) for regular drinking. If drinking out tho, they're all expensive (or not available)... so best of the cheap beers is carlton (amongst VB [utter shite], tooheys new [tolerable, but carlton is better] and black beer [which i just dont like])

The best beer and alcohol i reckon is when they're free. I've been exposed to lots of mixes of spirits, vodka and the lot since my cousin from QLD is a bartender and i was the guinea pig during a party.
Corona+Lime/Lemon is good, so is Heineken.
VB is  Shocked in my opinion.
and midori is cool too, when you play drinking games, since it has a melon taste and easy to drink. and it's green  Cheesy

^ @ mako: likewise. Asian genes gives away the fact that there is alcohol in my blood. heck i go red after two cherry ripes. it really sucks.

i quite like asahi beer but i am actually fond of singha beer if any. beer is not really my choice of alcoholic beverage.

my favorite is the scotch whiskey or bourbon with ice in front of a camp fire diluted with soda to ratio of 3 whiskey to 1 soda. otherwise i drink mainly port, however i prefer the vintage port or late bottled ones in form of fortified wine (especially ones from douro, portugal) or solera ports with the exception of tawnies that is under 15 years old.

i also drink cognacs, although i grow restless over the fragrance when exposed to it for a length of time. i have a peculiar pet peeve for oranges as a drink and uncooked apples. aside from that I tend to prefer wines, my choice tends to lean towards whites such as chardonay or german riesling and as entertainment, the lighter italian prosecco with fruit juice (mainly berries). as for red wines, i only drink shiraz.

i must say the shiraz and chardonnay Australia produces is really high quality.

I have a feeling this might tell into a Beer session inside our outside of uni. And then there's going to be pictures on facebook or forums of AnimeUNSW members smashed and lying on the ground. XD

AUNSW members are sophisticated drinkers. we are mature adults and are perfectly responsible with regards to all of our actions.

ps. we contemplated it on numerous occasions but never realised our dream of forming an in club drinking punishment game event due to the underaged people in the club.

to those underaged crew we happen to have: Hurry up and use your growth spurt supa powaz!!!!!!!

Disclaimer: this is not coming from any of the execs in the past or present. it is purely a personal groupie theoretical concept.

agreed with godless, extra dry is also my choice of standard beer ;) if i want something different and the bar has it i'd go for hoegaarden, or any euro beers preferably carlsburg or stella artois. lol and VB on tap tastes good so give it a go if you dont like the can or bottle ;D im still new to wines so tasting different merlots as much as i can, though i had a real good cab-sauv once but cant remember where from >< i love trying new and different spirits but im a rum fan AND black lagoon made it look better ;DDD if anyone gets the chance try the ABC shot: 1 part Absinthe, 1 part Bacardi 151, and 1 part Chartreusse >;D it is literally the best fire breathing experience you will have

that sounds so incredibly potent bro, I once had a cocktail that was entirely green, called the hulk. It had 5 standard drinks it in, and cost me $20
