will this be an internally run camp or will it be one of those "i am too lazy so i am going to hire some hobo to run the show while i sit down and drink out of this coconut... i think it is a coconut..."

depending on where about you want to go, we can go explore the Jenolan caves.

regarding camping, just about every national parks have cabins that's available to hire. its usually about 750 bucks to 1500 bucks for a 2-4 bedroom cabins that can fit between 10-20 people.

i do not like cold places and i hate the snow. on top of that, i can't ski or snowboard and my only expertise in that environment is limited to hiding from you guys, deforesting and yodeling. the idea of visiting the maitland gaol sounds nice but i dun wanna spend the night there (it looks uncomfortable). however haunted places sounds fun ^^. otherwise we can go to the hunter valley.

speaking of which, regarding camping, try Ku-Ring-Gai national park, Dorigo or Arakon state national park. Limeburners creek natural reserve is near port Maquarie and is quite nice and the cabin is on a beachfront. avoid dorigo unless you want to go tent camping (its free to do so tho).

here is the link to LimeBurners creek national park accommodation website: Limeburners Creek Cabin
note: apparently there are whales migrating during the june-july month. =/

@ viv: i also vote trip to japan. i want to try the lobster and crab claw machines.

@danny: can you be a bit more specific with what you have in mind?

@afa: dibs on first go piloting that thing... and taking out as much of the city before godzilla comes and kick my arse off the driver's seat.

@those people who wants to camp at internet cafe: WTF!!??! O__________O molotoving Cameron all night i presume?

Stop growing so fast!!! a hippie might mistake you for a weed, roll you up, set your front on fire and start sucking on your rear end.

Maitland Gaol has a laser tag business there, aimed at large groups of people. Just something to think about.

All the suggestions sounds very interesting. Wouldn't mind going for all. Do you think we could get a club subsidy?

Took a ferry to hang at friend's house by the river and saw some ppl camping at cockatoo island. Looked pretty neat and not too hard to organise.

also:

drive to wollongong
party at cameron's

Japan is a 10-hour flight away. Not exactly "overnight" Tongue

If you come down to Wollongong there's a paddock out behind my house where you can all camp with the horses XD

Coool! Ill be in this if I can get the time off work, Threadbo is pretty awesome and would be nice this time of the year as it still won't be too cold, snow doesn't start falling till late May if your lucky.I used to ski Perisher 20+ days per season so I know these parts well. The drive is pretty easy and uneventful as long as you watch your speed! The small towns in between are covered by highway patrol waiting to catch unwary city slickers zoom past the speed trap heheeh.

Camping would be fun! I can recommend Jervis Bay I've camped at a place called Green Patch before and its brilliant! Fascilities are great and has free electric operated BBQ's lots of room to run riot heheh it has a nice beach right next to the camp ground Tongue I've spent a night there around this time of year there and its still warm so camping around april/may its still quite nice and it won't be as busy compared to peak times. This would be my pick and I think its the sort of thing members would really enjoy! Failing to do an overnighter a day trip to this place is the next best thing...I always get my guys together at work for our annual new years day Initial D style cruise through the National Park XD then we follow the coastal road through lots of little towns then finaly a bbq here, the whole trip around 1.5-2hrs driving. This is the perfect road trip lots to see and do!

As far as car pooling I can only take 1 as my MR2 is a 2 seater so I'm not much help here lol however I might be able to pinch my cousins Subaru Forester if she's not using it...but then again I would never pass up an opurtunity to drive my car out of town especially throught the twisty roads of the national park hehhehe.ooooh Initial D flash backs XD

Some people keen on the Gold Coast well I can only say its pretty awesome!!! I'm actually there right now did the 3 big theme parks Sea World,Wet n Wild and yesterday spent the day at WB Movie World, spent most of the day riding the Superman and Batwing rides! Super man ride launches you at 0-100kmh in under 2 seconds (4.2G's!!!!!)before it drops you at some ridiculous height! If ur a speed freak and adrenaline junky like me you would love it! Scoobydoo ride was surprisingly fun too! Don't let the name fool you its pretty cool riding a roller coaster in the dark hehhe the Hollywood Stunt Driver show was freaking awesome! 3 highly modified Lancer Evos driving around in precision was just amazing to see!I'm talking bout these guys driving within centimeters of each other gets me pumped to fly back home now and trash my car hehehe.Anyway credit card is getting hammered but its worth it!

I know its not exactly overnight, but Jamberoo?

And all-night over at city hunter is a completely valid option! (I've done it before).
