I wanna see the photos! >o<
Anyways, things I saw I could answer/respond to.
not going to ask on smash forums.....anything i post there is relfected? in smashs image or something and i;ll probably get told off or something for posting something like that
this year...there cant be any lines..something to do with townhall is squishy
You probably won't get told off. I'm just not sure what kind of response you get... >.>
the thing that concerns me regarding that idea is that town hall indoors is not really a suitable atmosphere for maid cafe from experience from animania ages ago. its dark and dank, almost like a costume party in a basement garage. a cafe should have a good natural lighting, a refreshing scenery and a very soothing atmosphere, all of which does not exist inside town hall. maybe the roof at dawn, but haven't tried that yet.
ps. is it outdoors or indoors? i do not know whether i will go or not. it may depend on how many people i know that can drag me into the event will be going. that or if there is something i want i can't get elsewhere... like a domo kun speaker, a giant penpen plushie or a maid costume version Lydia happily serving customers. =P (i wonder if i tease her enough to wear maid costume that she'd eventually do it to shut me up.)
@ Aether: i hate town hall because its dark, its dank, its old and smells like moldy carpet, i hate animania at carriageworks more, it is at too big a place and its expensive to get in... i want a cake... i made my tiramisu way too alcoholic today, got tipsy from it.
I hated that place too, so I was really happy when Animania moved out of there.
When I found out that SMASH! was going to be at Town Hall, I was rather annoyed too...but then I found out that Town Hall had just spent the last year of so renovating/updating their building. When I ended up there to have a look at the location to plan our event properly, I was in awe.
You'd be surprised. I was too.
GOOD BYE STINKY, STUFFY, MOUNLDY TOWNHALL! >D
And Maid Cafe is in a great area for cafe setting this year - HEAPS of natural lighting. I just hope it doesn't rain...or be really cloudy... >.>
Can't say much about scenary though...but it can't be worse (or better) than UNSW Roundhouse. *lolz*
