How to analyse an anime for English

I'm currrently considering doing Code Geass as my related text for Advanced English (topic: belonging), but I'm having trouble to identity specific anime techinques that I should look for when I analyse it. So far I've only done a little research on anime techniques which include but not restricted to:
voice
music
characterisation
facial expression
character design (proportion, eye styles, colouring etc.)
background
camera angles
Animes are combinations of art and film, but there must be something unique about it. Because my other related text is a film, I'd like to distinguish the two very clearly by not analysing the same techniques (eg camera angles)
If anyone, especially those who have done an anime for English text before, will be able to tell me how to analyse an anime or websites that have information about anime techniques, I'll be VERY appreciated. (Anime techniques: not how animes are made, like softwares, but techniques that I should be analysing in terms of English)
Thank you so much in advance

Hrm...I can't say I'm a fan of using an anime (there was a very heated debate on this forum a few years back about that). I'd also have to can't really suggest that you choose an anime when your other supporting text is a film. In the end the two are both a motion/visual medium or whatever, and they use very similar techniques with their camera angles.
I think you're looking in the right direction though, by focusing on the specifics of the art in anime. You could analyse the episodic nature of Code Geass (kind of like a tv show) as well as some cultural aspects that are inherent with it being Japanese.
To be honest though, I can't suggest using an anime as a support text. I think that it could prove difficult, particularly if you're also using a film as your other additional text. I'd much rather use a manga than anime. But if I had the choice, I'd use neither.

well I used an episode of Evangelion for my english text for imaginary journeys back when i went through that, though that was episode 25 and 26 of evangelion, and thats the one with the parallel world and weird arts... so i was playing off that
essentially treat it as you would any film text
